Scalloped Potatoes
This is my Grandma's recipe for scalloped potatoes, or escalloped? I think she always used scalded milk, I just use regular. These are even better the next day as leftovers!
Ingredients:
8 to 10 c. sliced potatoes (I usually use white potatoes)
3 c. whole milk (or whatever you have will work, Grandma says whole so I use whole! Its actually all I buy anymore)
9 T. flour (I've always assumed all-purpose, but I should try whole wheat sometime!!)
8 T. butter
2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
Instructions:
Mix milk, flour, butter, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Then pour over sliced potatoes in a 9x13 baking dish. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours.
